Eva, I think that you have confused these two Articles of the Constitution: Article VII, Section 3 Article IV, Section 3
Article VII, Section 3 is about removing a statement about how to go about revoking a Candidate's Certificate of Designation. This is unlawful in Colorado and if you read http://www.lpcolorado.org/conv2004/Constitution-Art7-Sect3.html you will see that I have stated as much in quoting chapter and verse of state statues regarding that. Article IV, Section 3 is about removing the Pledge of the non-initiation of force for party officers. See http://www.lpcolorado.org/conv2004/Constitution-Art4-Sect3.html Please look over the two amendments and decide which one you are addressing. I believe that you are making good arguments for and against the pledge, but you've called out the section about revocation of Certificate of Designation. paul ======== Article VII, Section 3 - candidates PROs: The need for the pledge to be signed is outdated once we really move into full competition with the major parties. It could be used against us, since political parties in general do not require "loyalty pledges," which this resembles. PROs: (see CONs below). You never know if someone is really "true" to your cause, and someone who isn't for whom it means nothing will sign the pledge anyway, and you still won't know. CONs: How do you know someone is really "true" to Libertarianism? __________________________________________ the above pros and cons also apply to Article VII - Sec 3 on nomination of candidates
