LINUX PROFESSIONAL INSTITUTE OFFERS ITS FIRST CERTIFICATION TESTING AT CEBIT AMERICA


TORONTO, May 19, 2004 -- The Linux Professional Institute (LPI), (www.lpi.org), the premier professional certification program for the Linux community worldwide will be offering discounted certification testing at CeBIT-America on May 25, 26 and 27th at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.


�For many years LPI has been a regular participant in the prestigious international CeBIT show in Hanover, Germany. However this is the first time we have participated in this North American event and we are proud to be invited to attend. This demonstrates yet again the growing importance of Free and Open Source Software, particularly Linux, to the enterprise business community,� said Evan Leibovitch, President of LPI.

LPI will be hosting exam labs for LPI 101 and LPI 201 at CeBIT-America in Room 2DL04 at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on all three days of the show. All candidates must pre-register at the LPI website for a LPI ID number at https://www.lpi.org/en/register.html. The proctored exams are a show special of $25 per exam. Exam candidates should bring valid photo identification and their LPI ID number to the exam lab. Members of the public and candidates are also invited to visit LPI staff at its show booth: #3819.
