My publisher has contacted me because they're running low on stocks and are
contemplating a new (8th) edition of the German-language “LPIC-1” book I
wrote. According to the LPI wiki, the LPIC-1 objectives are still at version
5.0 (from 2020). I must admit that, since I'm no longer working as a Linux
instructor, I'm a bit out of the loop these days as far as LPI exam
development is concerned, but ISTR that exam objectives used to be tweaked
every 2.5 years or so.

So my question is: Is there an update to the LPIC-1 objectives in the making
that a book published in 2023 (and on sale for a couple of years or so) ought
to take into account, or is LPIC-1 likely to stay the same for the foreseeable
future?
