I assume that this discussion and list is limited to people who are on
the examdev list. Is this a good assumption.

Secondly, will reviewers etc be able to take the exams?

OK, to my question.

I have been troubled by the following sort of thing in the LPI101 and
102 tests myself, but find that I want to write a similar item. Eg

You are asked to block all other access to an NFS server blah, blah.
Which of the following would you use?

   1. Shut down inetd
   2. Install IPchains rules to block all packets except in.portmap.
   3. Insert "ALL: ALL" in /etc/hosts.deny and "NFS: ALL" in
      /etc/hosts.allow
   4. Insert "ALL: ALL" in /etc/hosts.deny and "portmap: <Your IP range>"
      in /etc/hosts.allow
   5. Some other foil.

Now, the trouble is, this is actually a complex topic, and while one of
the answers above is the best answer, it actually requires more work
that indicated by the right answer to comply with the request.

I expect all competant sysadmins to recognize this, but feel that it is
not possible to get all the right tings into the question.

Any feedback?
