Hi there,
The LPI certifies Linux Know How and not even any Database knowledge. I mean the difference is between the knowlege you need to have to provide a service. For Samba, apache, or DNS ... you need to know only some parameters and directorys to make it work. This is the Part LPI asks you to know. "To make a basic configuration" of that services. For mysql you need to have further Database administration knowlege. There you cant say were asking candidates to make "basic configuration" of mysql or Oracle. You need to know more than basic know How to make and keep a RDBMS running for daily buisness. For my point of you is this the reason Greets Christian ----- Original Message ----- From: "Amish Munshi" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, June 05, 2004 4:29 PM Subject: Re: [lpi-examdev]Database in LPI > Greetings, > > Database have a small % of use?
