Hi there,

The LPI certifies Linux Know How and not even any Database knowledge.
I mean the difference is between the knowlege you need to have to provide a
service.
For Samba,  apache, or DNS ... you need to know only some parameters and
directorys
to make it work.

This is the Part LPI asks you to know. "To make a basic configuration" of
that services.

For mysql you need to have further Database administration knowlege.
There you can�t say we�re asking candidates to make "basic configuration" of
mysql
or Oracle. You need to know more than basic know How to make and keep a
RDBMS
running for daily buisness.

For my point of you is this the reason
