BASH has evolved into version 3.0 with some major changes to things like
the history function and the use of regular expressions. When such a key
part of Linux is updated when do we add support for the new ways? When is
BASH 3.0 mainstream enough for inclusion in our tests? Is there a process
by which such things can be decided? I'd hate to bog down into the Debian
morass of late but then again we can't be too bleeding edge.
