Heh. I wasn't sure of your definition. > I'll do so the weekend (I've wasted 2 hours on this today, 2 hours I really > didn't have, but that's my choice ;). I have 3 day weekends now, so I > should be able to give it a few hours. I sure beat watching TV tonight, though, I bet. BTW, has anyone notices that no one is asking for IPSec coverage? > Oh hell, I'll re-post part of it below (see "=== BEGIN POST ==="). You are a riot, Bryan. > === BEGIN POST === > management" principles _should_ go here. E.g., simply using "RCS" > (ci/co/rlog/rcsdiff) to maintain configuration files on a system should > be _known_ to _anyone_ doing sysadmin (let alone security). And there This reminds me. I once wrote a script that would walk specified directory and do the equiv of an rcsdiff and a timestamp check to report any configuration files that were changed without checking them in. We inflicted that script on a lot of clients. No more "we didn't change that file" whines once we could e-mail them with the evidence :) G'nite. I'm going to post that contest after all then go home (it's 8pm here).
