It's been my experience that the recent 3Com cards in the 905 series (3C905C onward) does not like the kernel driver. I experienced the exact same problems you described. However, I found that the driver from the 3Com web site worked fine on 2.2.1{2,3,4,5} so far =:) Are you experiencing some problems with this driver and later kernels? If so, can you elaborate? I'd like to find out if we also suffer the same problems.
