Okay, I found out why my imagewriter print won't print -- ifhp is
ABORTing.
Playing with ifhp a bit:
% ls | /usr/libexec/filters/ifhp -Tmodel=gs,gs_device=appledmp
Gets me the following error:
ifhp 22:01:45.288 [3354] Send_job: converter failed, exit code 33
In fact, ifhp (3.3.18) appears not be doing any sort of file type
detection and conversion -- it only works if I feed it a postscript
file. That is, the following works just fine:
% ls | a2ps -o- | ...ifhp...
I'm certain that ifhp is supposed to handle this automatically...so what's
gone wrong? I'm using the stock ifhp.conf file distributed in the ifhp
rpm. I even tried setting "force_conversion" on, but no change.
Thanks for any hints,
