Actually, they do. However, there is a way to use LPRng to cause a DOS
attack on the host, fill up the syslog file, etc., so incoming job information is not
logged unless you ask for it.
You can use:
lpc debug lexmark lpr
to turn on debugging of incoming jobs. This will cause the lpd server
to use the log file in the lexmakr queue directory file for trace and
error messages.

Try the latest version of LPRng, which should be a little more Apple proof.
Also, try the debugging like I suggested above.
