I use a somewhat different setup:


null|nl|dummy|DUMMY PRINTER:\
        :cm=[edv]Dummy printer for testing:\
null:server:\
        :sd=/deliver/printers/null
        :lp=/dev/null:\
        :la:sh:sf:mx#0

Then using 'lpc stop null' I stop the printing.  Queuing
remains enabled. Then any print jobs to 'null' wind up,
as you know, as files in the spool directory 
/deliver/printers/null and just stay there.  They are accessible
to whatever other application wants them.
