The uniprint driver does support for 740 but not for all its wizzy features.
If you don't mind a bit of hacking then take a look at the gimp-print
project at sourceforge as they have been porting their module for the GIMP
into Ghostscript.
The output from this module for photographs is astounding compared to what
you get from ghostscript with the uniprint driver.
