Hi,
I installed this tool (LPRngTool-1.1.1-1.noarch.rpm)on a system (RH6.2)
that was already using LPRng. It lost the queue names (deleted the line
with the queue name) for all except the first queue and expanded some
single commented lines to several in printcap. It also uncommented some
lines that had been commented out. It gave no option to tell it not to
convert the printcap. Upon startup, it does this "conversion" every time
it starts. It does create a /etc/printcap.bak, at least.
e.g.
# :rm=ccm.cudenver.edu :rp=raw
became
:#
:rm=ccm.cudenver.edu
:rp=raw
