Ladies and gentelmen,
please don't be too harsh this my first post to this list.

My problem is this:
I use a SCO system that is co-located on my site every day, it prints to
printers I control, however I am contractualy prevented from altering the
unix box, I would like to install a print to file printer on my NT server
(under my control) that will accept LPR requests. I would then use custom
software to scrape the "printout" and dump the data into a diferent system.

My only problem is that if I set an NT printer to print to file, whenever
you print it asks the user for a filename. With an lpr request the system
just waits because nothing responds.

an automaticaly generated filename (sequential / time-date / etc) would be
fine.

can you help

Thanx
