Hi,
I am using LPRng-3.7.4. I have the printcap path defined as
printcap_path= |/some/path/pcfilter
When I run lpq -Pall, I don't get any output. However running lpq
-Pprinter
gets me the status of the printer.
Here pcfilter is a script which returns the output as follows
kinglet-build11% ./pcfilter
dup
dup|printer dup:rm=zoo-print.research.bell-labs.com:
kinglet-build11% ./pcfilter
u
u|printer u:rm=prints.research.bell-labs.com:
kinglet-build11% ./pcfilter
all
all:all=dup,u,ps85:
kinglet-build11%
If I run 'lpc client dup' I get
.
.
.
.config
:check_for_nonprintable off
:force_localhost@
:mc=0
:printcap_path= |/opt/LPRng-3.7.4/bin/pcfilter
# Printcap Information
dup|printer dup
:rm=zoo-print.research.bell-labs.com
If I run 'lpc client all' I get
.
.
.
.config
:check_for_nonprintable off
:force_localhost@
:mc=0
:printcap_path= |/opt/LPRng-3.7.4/bin/pcfilter
.names

.all
:dup
:u
:ps85
#Printcap Information

:rm=zoo-print.research.bell-labs.com
u|printer u
:rm=prints.research.bell-labs.com
ps85|printer ps85
:rm=prints.research.bell-labs.com
I need help with making lpq -Pall to work and report all printers
status.
Thanks,
rajeev
