I have compiled two versions of LPrng
3.6.26 and 3.7.4 on a Sun Ultra 5 running Solaris 8 64 bit.
Both compile ok but gag on the install when it tries to run
checkpc The error message I get is :
Read_file_list: cannot stat required file '/usr/local/etc/printcap' - Permission denied
I have tried altering permissions and compiling with a different printcap path.
No luck same error. I am using Gnu make 3.79.1 and gcc 2.95.2
Any Ideas?
