I don't know how to solve the problems but I have similar ones about having
command 'checkpc' running in my Linux (Mandrake 7.0).
I use 'ifhp' as my printer filter in /etc/printcap file. When I run
'checkpc -f -V' with root account, the following error message is shown up:
Warning - cannot stat 'filter' filter '/usr/bin/ifhp' - Permission denied
The path is correct and the filter 'ifhp' has permission 755, and ownership
root.root.
If I ignore the error message and use 'lpr' command to print a job,
the filter 'ifhp' won't do anything (that is, it is skipped).
Please give me some suggestions. Thanks!
