  I'm getting a lot of people saying that they have problems with lprng
3.7.4  I think the common thing is:
 * They're using Debian (I'm the maintainer for that package)
 * It worked with lprng 3.6.x
 * They have HP printers
 * They're using the old RFC 1179 protocol to talk to the  printer
 * They are using an if filter, usually magicfilter.

I'll include some printcaps below.

What's the difference between if and filter clauses?  As far as I can
tell if is only for 'type i' print jobs and filter is for all print
jobs.
