hi,
I remeber that from an earlier version and it had been fixed but it seems
to have reappeared in 3.8.1. There are 2 additional lines in the lpstat
response (the first 2 ones):
[printsrv4] ~ $ lpstat -ppubtest
printer pubtest unknown state. enabled since Dec 05 05:30 2001. available
printer pubtest unknown state. enabled since Dec 05 05:30 2001. available
Printer: pubtest@spoolc (dest pubps2@spoola,spoolb)
Queue: no printable jobs in queue
Printer: pubps2@spoola 'HP_8150DN PS_2 2 A4 p Operators, 5005,
A4/foil-automatic'
Queue: no printable jobs in queue
Status: job 'mkowalsk@pbaik2+767' removed at 18:37:03
Filter_status: (of) done at 18:37:03.841
A few applications, mainly around ORACLE report software parse the lpstat
output, see the 'unknown state' or just the additional 2 lines and don't
print (users get confused too)
Is there a way to suppress the 2 lines (others than wrapper scripts) or is
it fixed in a newer release ?
regards
~christoph
