Ahh... I wish that you had mentioned this... The problem here is that that printer is getting some sort of hardware/software error and going out to lunch. If the HP6P can handle an internal JetDirect card put it in... you can now at least query it via the Web Browser interface or SNMP and get some status. Otherwise, you are SOL (Surely Out to Lunch).
