Hi all,
YALC is a partial LPRng client for Windows. Partial means that the lpc
clone does not have an interactive mode, there is no encryption and no
authentication and the -l option for the lpq clone is simplified.
The main purpose is to run the printop Tcl script to manage print queues
on Windows systems.
Since my last mail about it I applied some changes, the most important
one is the snmpyalc.exe application retrieving the status of a printer
(or ethernet print server) via SNMP and showing a short status message.
The printop script was modified to show such status information in the
print queue list.
Another new feature is the -d option to the klpq program, it suppresses
messages for "done" jobs, so done jobs do not appear in the
job list window.
The YALC website can be found at
http://et.fh-schmalkalden.de/personen/dhp/krause , choose
"Software (english)" and "YALC - Win32 lpr".
Sources can be downloaded at
http://et.fh-schmalkalden.de/personen/dhp/krause/Download/yalc.tar.gz .
Win32 binaries are available as
http://et.fh-schmalkalden.de/personen/dhp/krause/Download/w32-full.exe ,
this file does not only install YALC but some other of my programs too.

Regards,

Dirk
