Hello,
I'm running LPRng 3.8.13 and have configured a load-
balanced queue using the :sv/:ss directives as follows:
lp1:
:sv=lp1a,lp1b
lp1a:
:ss=lp1
lp1b:
:ss=lp1
It works quite well, except that when a user requests an
email upon completion ('-m' option to lpr), *two*
messages are sent for each job: one when the job has
finished spooling from the 'parent' load-balance queue
to a 'child' server queue, then again once the job is
spooled to the printer.
Is this normal behavior? Feature or bug? I'd prefer
the option to only send mail when the job has completed
spooling to the printer, rather than whenever jobs are
respooled within the printer pool.
Anyone else seen this? Suggestions welcomed.
Keep up the great work, Patrick.
