Hi Tom,
that should be quite easy :-) We do something similar, using the queues to
push stuff in an oracle database etc. All you need is a script that reads
from STDIN and writes into your database or whatever and exit with '0' for
success or '1' for error. In the printcap you have to define a pseudo
device 'lp=/dev/null' and the script you are using as a filter
'filter=/path/to/your/script'. This should be it (imho)...
