Well, perhaps you like to to forget the old hosts.deny/hosts.allow stuff
and try the nice lpd.perms features. :-) (should reside in /etc/lpd.perms oder
/etc/lprng/lpd.perms)
It gives you a quite fine-tunable possibility to control your printer access.
