I don't know if this was discussed recently, but when are RedHat supposed to be dropping LPRng support?
Will there be a recipe for building it yourself?
Red Hat has deprecated LPRng in Red Hat Linux 9 (to be released April 7, 2003). LPRng is still available in the distro, but may be removed in a future release. Their preferred printing system is now CUPS.
We could get the LPRng Source RPM from Red Hat Linux 9 and modify the .spec file slightly for future releases of LPRng and/or Red Hat Linux. It might be that simple.
