Can you paginate the chunks so the appropriate PS code can be inserted
or appended beforehand?
What are you actually sending to the printer; plaintext or PS?
Where is text to PS conversion - or is it - done?

Sorry, this is lvl 1 stuff -- I made a mistake.
Like Jim already pointed out Page Device is a Postscript level 2 feature.
