> What is 'gsave' command?

Stands for "graphics save" Makes a checkpoint of the current
graphics state and pushes it onto a stack. Will restore it with
a corresponding grestore. These can be nested and according to
the manual the number is limited (device dependent but typically 31)

Any decent postscript program shouldn't require more that 2 or 3
gsave levels.

"Maybe" is the best one can say.

The suggestion by Thies Meincke was a good one. If gs can
display it try running it through ps2ps. If that won't print
try running it through ps2ps again. It produces a very large
file but it will often print. Try using a different version of gs.

I'm not a TeX expert but I have noticed that it uses gsave
whenever an EPS file is included. One can tell a lot by
looking at the postscript. If you want to put it on your ftp
site or web page I can download it and have a quick look.

Please don't mail it.
