Hi Walter,

I'll run a few tests as soon as I get some example pdf
files showing this phenomenon with acroread under Unix/Linux (I have
a "microsoft-free" environment here fortunately).

The original question (a program to validate postscript)
still in unanswered, I think. At least a syntax checker for postscript
would be necessary, if there is a defined "standard" postscript.
I found a reference to a postscript language reference manual by Adobe
called "the red and white book", that's all.

Regards,

Thies
