I believe you forget to list the major drawback of the PostScript/PCL
method. By turning off the printer directly after the last page has been
fed out (or even printing a blank last page and turning off the printer
during that) you can by pass the PostScript/PCL check completely as the
printer will have lost the connection/state when powered on again. Also
things like after the job has been transferred to the printer, you yank
the network cable, you are safe from the PostScript/PCL method.
