I thought your problem over, as the file looks fine (>0 byte) you probably
have a flter problem (check lpq -L -P<printer>) or a permission problem.
Make sure the 'lpr' binary you are using is owned by 'root' and has the
's-bit' set (chmod +s foo/lpr)
