There was a major upgrade today of lprngtool and since then it wouldn't
start:
# lprngtool
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified

Application initialization failed: this isn't a Tk applicationcouldn't connect to display ":0.0"
Error in startup script: invalid command name "frame"
while executing
"frame .menuf -relief raised -borderwidth 1"
(file "/usr/bin/lprngtool" line 1530)

Is this a porting problem or an lprngtool-problem ?

(Or eventually *my* mistake !?)

ii lprng 3.8.26-1 lpr/lpd printer spooling system ii lprngtool 1.3.2-6 GUI frontend to LPRng based etc/printcap

are the versions on Debian Sid as of today.
In case it is a Debian problem, I might as well file a bug report with Debian !?
