I'm using an LSB 4.0 SDK, compiling with lsbcc, and trying to turn on -fstack-protector. This doesn't work: after a certain amount of thrashing around, I turned on LSBCC_VERBOSE, which revealed that lsbcc passes -fno-stack-protector to gcc at the end of the command line, overriding any earlier -fstack-protector. Is there a way to stop this? Or is lsbcc preventing me from using an inadequate implementation of -fstack-protector?
I'm building on SLES11sp, with GCC 4.3.4, and these LSB packages: $ rpm -qa | grep lsb | sort lsb-4.0-2.4.21 lsb-appchk-3.3-5.21 lsb-appchk-webui-2.0.99-1.22 lsb-build-base-4.0.1-1 lsb-build-c++-4.0.2-1 lsb-build-cc-4.0.1-1 lsb-build-desktop-4.0.1-1 lsb-build-qt3-4.0.0-5 lsb-build-qt4-4.0.1-1 lsb-makelsbpkg-1.4-1 lsb-release-2.0-1.2.18 lsb-runner-4.0.0-2 lsb-setup-4.0.0-2 lsb-task-sdk-4.0.1-1 lsb-xdg-utils-4.0.0-2 thanks in advance, -- John Dallman DF PL TO OT PC PDE Technology & Innovation Siemens Industry Sector Siemens Industry Software Limited Francis House, 112 Hills Road, Cambridge CB2 1DP, United Kingdom Tel. :+44 (1223) 371554 Fax :+44 (1223) 371700 [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> www.siemens.com/plm ----------------- Siemens Industry Software Limited is a limited company registered in England and Wales.
