Hi Raphaël,
I've created a couple of bug reports with patches attached :
885 Broken repositories in pom.xml : shut down/changed
behaviour http://tools.lsc-project.org/issues/885
886 Quick start tutorial not working with Java
8 http://tools.lsc-project.org/issues/886
I've got some other stuffs that I already fixed (I'll create the
related issues), such as :
- Support for Java 8 at runtime
o With java 8, Javascript array are not correctly converted to java
list > target : 2.1.4.
=> That junit test failed with java 8, got a fix for it.
The fix seems fine to me.
- Support for Java 8 & latest maven 3 for build > target : 2.2.0 but
could also be 2.1.4., what do you think ?
Yep, that could be done for 2.1.4.
o Small upgrades and syntaxes changes to be able to successfully
build.
- Upgrades of all librairies to latests versions > target : 2.2.0
o With a few pom/code/conf adaptations, builds and tests are OK
o Still need to look at jmock latest version, since some classes
that we use have been deprecated and removed, some portion of codes
needs to be rewrote and I need to dig the documentation to figure out
how.
A good thing would be to ged rid of jmock and use for example mockito
instead.
o BUT as a result, some dependencies are not compliant with java 6
anymore, such as Sleepycat/Berkeley DB and Apache Directory LDAP API
and probably many more. So we have 2 choices :
- Upgrades to versions that still support java 6, which I haven't done
yet.
- Not support java 6 anymore starting 2.2.0, which sounds fine for me
and clement, what do you think ?
Seems fine to me too.
I would like to know who is in favor of removing Java 7 support too?
This would allow us to introduce lambdas for example.
Could you give me feedback on these matters ? Also clement is awaiting
your approval for giving me writing rights on the svn repository.
You have it, let's go!
Regards,
Raphaël.
