Hi DC1ers,
Sorry for the delay--it took a bit to get everything consistant. As
discussed at our telecon, we have a common software installation stack
that will be installed "permanently" on Mercury
(tg-login.ncsa.teragrid.org) and on the data cluster for development
purposes. On all these systems, the home of this installation will be
/usr/projects/LSST/DC1.
To load the environment via csh/tcsh, you can type:
source /usr/projects/LSST/DC1/setup.csh
or for sh/bash:
. /usr/projects/LSST/DC1/setup.sh
This will set an environment variable called LSST_HOME set to
/usr/projects/LSST/DC1.
Two things to note:
o not all our software is installed, yet; in particular, we don't have
the subversion code in there, yet.
o When the DC1 runs in full, the LSST_HOME most certainly will *not*
set to /usr/projects/LSST/DC1; rather, it will be set to somewhere in
the local scratch space.
Let us know if you have an comments on the environment (e.g. PATH, etc.)
and what gets installed, or if you have any problems.
cheers,
Ray & Steve
