Hello all, I have updated the permissions in the project archive so that estimators can update and post the spreadsheets themselves. Since Jacek made a final update to the disk I/O sizing sheet yesterday, I have extended the deadline for these updates to close of business today. Please all infrastructure updates done for changes due to:
- Disk storage and I/O spreadsheets (document-1779, document-1990) - Disk price trend information (document-2053) - Slip of construction funding start to FY10 - Acquisition schedule adjustments (e.g. Base Facility computing in 2010 - 2011 rather than 2007 prices) I have given Arun an extension of the deadline for the Data Access Center until Tuesday since he will be in a review the remainder of this week. Now that we have a baseine of 10 Gbps between the AC and DAC, and 10 Gbps from AC and DAC each to the external research community, it is time to re-focus our attention to CPU estimates. Our current estimates for the Base Facility should be relatively unchnaged, but the AC and DAC will need adjusting. We will discuss CPU requirements on Monday at the TechAssessWG. Chris Smith has agreed to work up a draft spreadsheet on how we use the TFLOPS at the Archive Center. Thanks!
