In order to try and save some cash, we are going to try to do the Tech Assess
telecon today with skype’s partner Highspeedconferencing.com. You
can dial in with skype (cheap) or conventional telephone in the U.S.

Jeff, Here is a brief set of instructions in plain text. The
example is a real account I created today. The installation process for
Windows isn’t worth documenting. There is only one registration
window that appears at first launch of Skype. Finally, it doesn’t
seem necessary for detailed instructions to create Contacts once the meeting
information has been provided. I expect most people can figure it out w/o
issue.

Download Application:

Choose your OS to install Skype 2.5
Install (Haven't tried Linux version- yet)
Create/Register Skype Username:
Launch the application
Fill in the registration window
example lsst-guest lsst1234
Add the LSST-DM Conference Contact:
Add a contact with the provided conference information
Register for Your Own High Speed Conferencing Plus:
(NOT A REQUIRED STEP- only if you desire your own meeting number)
