brief, brief comment 

it is interesting how reluctant you are to use a real dbms considering you 
are already taking advantage of the dbms and the fact we (SDSS) already 
did the job of creating a galaxy table for you. 

If you want to do the real test you should go to the DAS and start collecting 
the cvs files
