Hi LTSP-fellows,

I just tried latest 2.09pre2|3 Version against my (working) Suse 7.2 Server
and found
a problem with "dhclient", which just does not recieve any DHCP-infos from
the (version 3) DHCP server.

Details:
Etherboot's dhcp works nicely and Kernel+initrd ist tftp'ed. When linuxrc is
run, everything works fine
(NIC, insmod and /etc/dhclient.conf is generated), but /bin/dhclient simply
does not finish with the following messages (from dhcp and tcpdump):

DHCPDISCOVER from 00:00:1c:d2:44:24 via eth0
DHCPOFFER on 192.168.0.64 to 00:00:1c:d2:44:24 via eth0

Since "/etc/dhcpc/dhcpcd-eth0.info" is not written linuxrc gives up, and no
interface is configured!

I tried Version 2.05 and SuSE's version 3 DHCPD both with same results.

The rest is part of my dhcpd.conf to satisfy the 3.0 syntax

ddns-update-style             ad-hoc;
option vendorid code 128 = string;
option kernelparm code 129 = text;

    host ws004 {
        hardware ethernet     00:00:1C:D2:44:24;
        fixed-address         192.168.0.64;

        option vendorid     e4:45:74:68:00:00;
        option kernelparm     "NIC=8139too";
        }

Thanks for any hit?
