There are known problems with the 2.4.5 version of the Linux kernel, 
relating
to the rtl8139 driver.

I've got a new 2.4.9 kernel package that I am putting together now. 
 I'll post
it on the dowload site later today.

The new 2.4.9 kernel definately works with the rtl8139 card.

And, the new package now has the ability to auto-detect the network
card, so for people using PCI network cards won't need the option-12[89]
entries in the dhcpd.conf file.
