Tim,

I'd suggest trying a different hub, or a cross-over cable directly 
betwen the server and workstation,
just to rule out any negotiation problems between the Linksys card and 
the hub.

Other things worth trying are:

 1) Try a different slot in the computer
 2) Try the Linksys card in a different computer
 3) See if there are any bios upgrades available for your computer
