just for your info (and I've read the manual - confused by the "...")
when I set lts.conf as per recent discussion
X_MODE_0 = 1024x768 78.80 1024 1064 1160 1284 768 777 780 812 +hsync +vsync
the ws /tmp/XF86Config file has:
Modes "1024x768 78.80 1024 1064 1160 1284 768 777 780 812 +hsync +vsync"
and the monitor display is NOT correct (stays as standard 1024x768,
position is wrong for this monitor).
When I use my additions:
X_MODENAME = "1024x768"
X_MODELINE = "78.80 1024 1064 1160 1284 768 777 780 812 +hsync +vsync"
the ws /tmp/XF86Config file has:
Modeline "1024x768" 78.80 1024 1064 1160 1284 768 777 780 812 +hsync +vsync
and the monitor display is correct.
