The NCD ThinSTARs require that they have the ThinPATH X windows module
loaded in order to connect to a Linux or Unix server using the X protocol.
Since they are Windows Based Terminals they contain Windows CE on flash as
an Operating System rather than Linux. This is because at the time they
were developed RDP was a proprietary protocol and Microsoft wouldn't allow
RDP on a non Windows device. Nevertheless, they won't work with LTSP. They
will, however, allow you to do an XDM login to a Unix or Linux host if you
have the ThinPATH Xwindows installed.

Looking at the NCD web page on the ThinStar terminal, it appears that it
can be configured as an X terminal.

In that case, you should be able to tell it to get an XDMCP login from
the LTSP
server.

Probably fairly easy to do, if you can figure out how to get into the
setup screen
of the terminal.
