Anyone have any experience using OpenOffice.org with LTSP? Can it be
run as a local app? I know it's a memory hog ... does it share much
of that memory?

We're between semesters now so I don't have a decent way to stress
test it.

We're trying to sell the idea of schools in Belize switching to Linux
and LTSP. A big help in that effort would be being able to use an
office suite that is VERY close to MS Office's capabilities, and being
able to give away the installation files for both Linux and Windows is
a very strong selling point.

BTW, we're using OOo 841b.
