Regarding terminal emulators..commercial versions....

Look at the Linux version of teemX from Pericom Software in the UK. They
have a small office here in the States. the URL for the product is
http://www.pericom-usa.com/pericom1.htm. I believe these folks provide
the CE terminal emulation software embedded in Wyse and Compaq ICA/RDP
terminals.

I was able use the ANSI color graphics terminal emulation running over
Linux as a replacement for Wyse 370 color ANSI terminals which are no
longer manufactured. I have to use this emulation for a 24/7/365
Security monitoring central station software. I was willing to pay their
price...around $250 US dollars per license, larger qtys are slighter
better price. It still beats the over $1000 I was paying for Wyse 370's
which lasted no more than 3 years in this environment. One other
"downside" to this software was the fact it is Motif based:-( 

I recall they had a 30 day timed demo.
