Some time ago I had a S3 Trio 64 running at 1024x768 (8bpp) and 800x600
(16bpp). I used ltsp 2.08.
I didn't specify a modeline but these parameters instead.
XSERVER = XF86_S3
X_COLOR_DEPTH = 16 (or 8)
X_HORZSYNC = x-y
X_VERTREFRESH = a-b
