Sorry for not keeping everyone as up to date as possible about the developments surrounding the addition of removeable media support to the Enhanced Network Block Device that many of you have so generously donated funds to supporting this addition.
I have been in continuing contact with the author and just to let you know in his own words where the "money" stands: "A month of sundays ago Jason A. Pattie wrote:" >> Peter T. Breuer wrote: >> > >>> >Some progress ... >>> > >> >> Cool! (BTW, how's the money thing progressing?) > I haven't looked at it yet. I thought I'd reckon on doing the thing first and then worrying about being paid afterwards. If it were 10K I'd be worried about it, but 1K isn't going to reduce my life indebtedness sufficiently to make me go through *administration* to get it! - although it would be nice. ... Peter Thanks to everyone who has pledged support so far. If anyone is interested in helping test the current support that is working in the ENBD project concerning removeable media devices, you can download and work with version 2.4.27pre that is on the ENBD website. http://www.it.uc3m.es/~ptb/nbd/ -- Jason A.
