As some of you know I've been busy building and finalizing my new LTSP server. This
weekend I added my clients and except for the Flash Player plugin crashing all the
time things have seemed okay. But now the system is crashing all the time and i
can't even run a term window. Now I get errors all the time like:
"Klauncher could be reached via DCOP"
When I was able I checked the process list and the CPU utilization was very low and
the memory was normal. I didn't see stuck processes. I also checked the
/var/log/messages and found this repeated over and over:
Feb 19 19:18:24 vertov nscd: 985: while accepting connection: Too many open files
in system
Now my users can't even log in and I can't run any programs at all. I'm totally at
a loss and am a little desperate. The only thing I've done in the past few days is
add more clients. In any case, here's what I'm using:
LTSP v.3.0
RedHat 7.2
KDE 2.2.2
Opera 6 tp3
StarOffice 6.0beta
...?
