Marcus, Luckily, this is easy to fix.
You need to increase the maximum number of filehandles and open inodes. And, you can do it while the system is running and it takes effect immediately. Try this: echo 24576 >/proc/sys/fs/file-max echo 32768 >/proc/sys/fs/inode-max I add those lines to my /etc/rc.d/rc.local script, so they get executed when the system boots up. You may want to play with those numbers. Before doing that command, you can cat the current contents of each, to see what the current setting is.
