Hi, after updating from 3.0.1 to version 3.0.2, the kernel gets the correct IO-parameter for the ISA AMD79C960: rw root=/dev/ram0 init=linuxrc rw NIC=lance IO=0x300, but it doesn't seem to be loaded - no "insmod"-log is printed. Nevertheless, after successful loading IP and TCP this happend: >> VFS: Cannot open root device "ram0" or 01:00 Please append a correct "root=" boot option Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root device on 01:00 << This 486/66-machine boots via nfs/tftp with an image from disk and has 24mb of ram.
Using vmware with this new release, newly does not work, too. The X_MODE-option is not overtaken to the /tmp/XF86Config file. I've read something about special changes to be made when using vmware - some weeks ago. Does anyone can tell me which thread this was?
