I've been playing with LTSP on and off for a couple of months now and I can't get
past the workstation X startup - it keeps giving me "no screens" errors
I'm using RedHat 7.2 for the server which is running XFree 4.x.x
I've upgraded to the 3.0.3 LTSP and still have no luck
I've tried a bunch of things and I've noticed that if there is an XFConfig in the
mounted /etc/ directory that XFree (from the start_ws script) will try to use that
even if it's told that it should use something else
Can I change the mount to a rw instead of ro and use XFree86 -configure from a
runlevel 3 bash shell to let XFree tell me what it wants? Do I just change the
server /etc/exports to get the mount rw or is there somewhere else I should also
change?
On a second machine I'm having initrd problems. Is there anything special I should
be doing with a box with 20 Mb RAM? I thought that would be enough.
